• Bungy or swing — which is scarier?

  Bungy hits harder — the freefall is 2 full seconds and you're upside down. Swing is more sustained but less adrenal. Most people who do both say swing is the warm-up.

• I'm under the weight limit — what now?

  Bungy needs 45kg+ solo. Under that, you can do tandem bungy with a friend (30kg each minimum, max 50kg combined difference). Tandem costs $15 extra at the site. Swing has a 55kg solo min.

• What should I wear?

  Closed shoes / runners (no flip-flops, no bare feet). Long pants OR shorts — both fine. Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a bit sweaty in.

• Can my mates come watch?

  Yes — bring spectators. They'll have a great time watching you eat sky. Free for them to come along, just no jumping without paying.

• Medical conditions I should disclose?

  Anything that affects you under stress: heart conditions, high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, recent surgery, pregnancy, back/neck issues, any physical disability. Tell staff at check-in — they decide if you're cleared to jump.

• Is bungy actually safe?

  AJ Hackett invented commercial bungy in 1988 and helped write the international safety standards (AS/NZS 5848). Specialised gear, trained crew, redundant systems. Statistically safer than driving to the site.
