• Sleep on deck — does that actually happen?

  Optional, weather permitting. Outdoor mats + blankets are provided. Most travellers try it for the first hour, get cold/buggy and head below. But that 1 hour stargazing is the photo you'll keep.

• Sleeping arrangements — private or dorm-style?

  Both. Shared cabins (singles + doubles, open-plan setting) included in the base price. Want a private double or twin? $25/person upgrade fee — book at the time of reserving.

• I wear glasses — can I get a prescription snorkel mask?

  Yes — rent one from Aqua Dive Shop in Airlie before boarding (~$15/day). Don't try to snorkel without — you'll see less than nothing.

• Cold winter weather — wetsuit included?

  Lycra stinger suits are free year-round. For colder months (June-Aug), hire a 3mm wetsuit from Aqua Dive Shop for ~$12/day. The water hovers around 21-23°C in winter — workable but cold for thin-skinned travellers.

• Where do I store my big backpack?

  Small overnight bag only on the boat. Big bags stay at your Airlie hostel — most do storage for free or $5-10/day. Bring just what you need: swimmers, sunscreen, towel, phone charger, change of clothes.

• Dietary needs catered?

  Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-intolerant, nut allergies all sorted. Flag at the time of booking. You can also bring supplementary snacks if you want.

• BYO alcohol — what's the rule?

  Tea, coffee, tap water + cordial are included free. Bring your own beer/wine — no glass, no red wine. Crew check at boarding.
