What we sell

• Tours and activities across Australia. 16 Australian destinations with live trips, from Sydney, Byron Bay and K'gari to the Whitsundays, Cairns, Uluru and the Red Centre: day trips, multi-day tours, sailing, surf, dive and skydive.
• New Zealand and further afield. Multi-day tours and activities in New Zealand, and trips in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, South Korea, India, Fiji, China, Morocco, South Africa, Costa Rica, Mexico, Croatia and Central America.
• Travel Mates, our own East Coast line. 8 semi-guided trips that we put together and run the booking for: guides run the headline adventures, the days between are yours. One fixed itinerary; you pick the start date, and the trip is valid for 12 months. See Travel Mates.
• Bus passes. 2 Greyhound hop-on hop-off passes, booked and issued here. Bus passes.

How booking works

• The price you see is the price you pay. Per person, in AUD, no booking fee.
• Secure card payment through Square. We never see or store your full card number.
• Your card is held, not charged, until the operator confirms. On tours the operator confirms instantly, your card is only charged once your seat is confirmed. If the operator can't take your date, the hold is released and you're not charged.
• Dates on request. Some dates need the operator to confirm first. We confirm with them for you; if we can't confirm your date, we return your payment.
• One email. Your confirmation and your ticket or voucher arrive together in one email, usually within 30 minutes on instant-book tours.
• Cancellations follow the operator's own terms, which differ by tour and are shown on each tour page and at checkout before you pay. Read our booking terms.

Prices and reviews

• Price Match Promise. Find the exact same tour cheaper on another Australian booking site and send us the link: we'll do our best to beat it, and tell you straight if we can't. How it works.
• Cheaper than booking direct? Often, not always. Many of our tours are below the operator's RRP, and we add no booking or service fees. Operators sometimes run specials on their own website below their RRP, and our Price Match doesn't cover operator websites, so on a big trip check the operator's site too. The price guides below show our price next to the RRP for every tour.
• Prices in the open. Our price guides list every tour in a destination, cheapest first, from live prices: K'gari, Whitsundays sailing, Great Barrier Reef, Byron Bay, Uluru, Cairns, New Zealand and the East Coast.
• Real, attributed ratings. 228 of our 511 live listings show the operator's own rating, with where it comes from (for example Google or TripAdvisor) and how many reviews it's based on.
• Reviews of us, not just the tours. Since October 2026 every traveller who books with us gets the same request the day after their trip to review Wanderlust on Trustpilot. We don't pick who gets asked and we don't offer anything in return. Until enough reviews are in, we don't show a Wanderlust review score.
