Go West Tours drives you from Melbourne to Belgrave, where you can explore the heritage station, photograph the steam engine and meet the conductors. You then ride Puffing Billy through the Dandenong Ranges, with the option to sit with your legs dangling over the edge while crossing the Monbulk Creek Trestle Bridge, nearly 20 metres above fern gullies.
The train ride ends at Lakeside, where you can walk around Emerald Lake Park before the return coach. A one-way train ticket from Belgrave to Lakeside, hotel pick-ups, an English-speaking guide and onboard Wi-Fi are included. The return is around 1.15pm and the drop-off is at the Immigration Museum, not at hotels. Food and drinks are not included.
