Overview

Eight days is a short trip, so this one doesn't muck about. Airport pickup in Bangkok, a welcome dinner with the group that night, and a half-day temple and canal tour before the domestic flight south to Phuket and the islands.

The water days are the point: a full-day snorkelling tour around Phi Phi, and a speedboat trip to Hong Island with access to the viewpoint, which is the photo you came for. All the ferries and transfers between stops are handled, and a group leader runs the show.

Seven nights in multi-share hostels, two breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners are included. The rest of the eating is yours to sort, which in Thailand is no hardship.

2 Day 2 · Bangkok temples and canals

See Bangkok from a local angle: wander peaceful temple grounds, cruise the historic canals and learn about Thai culture and traditions. Visit Wat Arun and Wat Pho, two of the country's most iconic temples, then take a tuk-tuk ride back. The rest of the day is yours for markets, shopping, or the bars and street food around Khao San.

3 Day 3 · Fly to Phuket

Swap the capital for island life with a flight south to Phuket. Warm sea air, palm trees and a relaxed beach vibe greet you, and the afternoon is free for local food, a swim or a chill. Later, join the group for optional drinks on Patong's Bangla Road, all neon lights and music.

4 Day 4 · Phuket to Koh Phi Phi

Cross the Andaman Sea to Koh Phi Phi, one of Thailand's most celebrated islands. Wander the narrow beachside streets, grab a fruit shake, or hike to the Phi Phi Viewpoint for a sunset to remember. Nights here mean beach parties, fire shows and dancing under the stars.

5 Day 5 · Phi Phi island hopping

A full day of island-hopping and snorkelling around Phi Phi's legendary bays and limestone cliffs. Swim in crystal-clear lagoons, drift through Pi Leh Lagoon, spot wildlife at Monkey Bay and unwind on the white sand of Bamboo Island. Lunch is included, and the evening is free for dinner and the beach bars.

    For the operator's own group tours, cancelling 45 or more days before departure loses the deposit only, 30 to 45 days costs 50% of the tour price, and under 30 days costs 100%.
