Overview

Thailand in twelve days, done as a group. It starts in Bangkok with an airport pickup, a welcome dinner and a first night out, then a day of temples and canals: Wat Arun, Wat Pho and a tuk-tuk ride back, with the evening free for markets, street food and Khao San.

From there it's south by plane to Phuket, across the Andaman Sea to Koh Phi Phi for beach nights and a full-day island-hopping snorkel trip (Pi Leh Lagoon, Monkey Bay, Bamboo Island), then Ao Nang in Krabi and a speedboat day to Hong Island with its viewpoint. The middle of the trip goes inland to Khao Sok Lake, where you sleep in a floating bungalow surrounded by cliffs and rainforest and wake for a sunrise lake safari.

The last stretch is on Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand: a full day in Ang Thong Marine Park kayaking, snorkelling and climbing to viewpoints, then a free day for beaches, waterfalls or Fisherman's Village. Eleven nights' accommodation (mostly multi-share hostel dorms), ferries and transfers, the domestic flight to Phuket, a group leader and nine meals are included.
