Overview

Cook Island is a turtle and marine life hotspot just offshore from Fingal Head lighthouse, with protected shallow water that suits snorkelling and freediving. Turtles, manta and eagle rays, harmless leopard sharks and thousands of fish are all seen here.

The boat heads down the Tweed River, often passing sea birds and dolphins, and humpback whales are a daily sight from June to November. A marine biologist on board guides you to the best spots. Mask, fins and wetsuit are provided. You need to be comfortable swimming in open water as flotation jackets are not supplied for non-swimmers. Complete the liability waiver before you arrive.
