Overview

The Weekender is Surf Camp Australia's beginner course packed into one weekend. The bus leaves central Sydney at 6.30pm on Friday and gets to camp around 8.45pm, in time for a meet and greet and an early night.

Saturday and Sunday are built around the waves: breakfast, a lesson, lunch, a second lesson, dinner. The two-day progressive course starts with paddling and popping up and builds to dropping in and riding across the waves. Warm Rip Curl wetsuits, beginner boards and water-resistant sunscreen are supplied.

Camp is purpose-built and only metres from the beach, with a swimming pool, hot showers, hammocks, internet and laundry. Rooms are 6 to 7 berth, and a private or double room can be requested when you book. All meals are included, with vegetarian and vegan options. Saturday night is the camp's party night. The return bus gets you back to Sydney between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday.
