Overview

A week is where surfing stops being a thing you tried on holiday and starts being a thing you can do. Six nights at a surf camp in Canggu with a lesson every day, boards and gear supplied, ASI-accredited instructors and a camp guide keeping the whole thing moving. It is pitched at beginners through intermediates, and six lessons is a real block of progress, not a taster.

The daily rhythm is simple. Wake for breakfast, then head out for the day's surf lesson at whichever break the instructors pick for the conditions and your level, rather than the nearest one. Afternoons are free for the pool, the cafes and warungs of Canggu or a nap, then happy hour at camp and optional evening activities with the staff. Six lessons are spread across your stay, so time your arrival and departure to make the most of them.

You sleep in shared rooms of four-bed bunks with privacy curtains, air-conditioning, shared bathrooms and uncapped Wi-Fi, with a pool at the camp. Breakfast is included daily; lunch, dinner and transport are not, and airport or Kuta-area transfers can be added at extra cost. Bring swimwear, a beach towel, hat, sunscreen, a camera and an appetite. Canggu surfs year-round, and the camp sits a short walk from Batu Bolong Beach.
