If you only have one day, this is the most direct way to see Kangaroo Island's icons from Adelaide. You're picked up in the morning from selected Adelaide hotels and travel by coach and ferry, with commentary from a local driver-guide, then returned to your hotel in the evening. It is a long day, around 16 hours door to door.

On the island you join a guided beach walk at Seal Bay Conservation Park, where wild Australian sea lions laze and play on the sand.
