Overview

Wildlife Tours Australia leaves early from Darwin and drives south down the Stuart Highway through Adelaide River or Pine Creek to Katherine. The highlight is the two-hour NitNit Dreaming boat cruise between 70-metre sandstone cliffs in Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk), in a national park cared for by the Jawoyn people.

Guided bush walks of about 1 to 2km, a visit to the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre and a swim stop at Edith Falls fill out the day. Travel is by air-conditioned mini-coach with an accredited driver guide.

An NT Parks Day Pass is required for Nitmiluk and is not included; buy it in advance. Meals not listed in the itinerary are at your own expense. Bring swimwear, a towel and a 2L water bottle.
