Overview

A walking and sightseeing tour into Tasmania's wild north-west, in a small group of up to 13. Day one leaves Hobart early through New Norfolk to Mount Field National Park, where you walk among some of the tallest trees on the planet, stand beneath Russell Falls and look for platypus. The drive continues through the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area with a stop in Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park and a look around the historic mining town of Queenstown, before an overnight stay in a lakeside motel near Cradle Mountain.

On day two you arrive at Cradle Mountain National Park through temperate rainforest, look for wild wombats and hike the Dove Lake Circuit, or Marions Lookout if you're feeling adventurous. The drive back brings you into Hobart at about 5.30pm.

The base price is a multi-share motel room, and a private room costs extra. Breakfast, national park entry fees and the Cradle Mountain shuttle bus are included. There are walking options for all fitness levels.
