Overview

Hollybank Forest is only about 20 minutes' drive from Launceston, and this tour sends you through its canopy. The 2.5-hour guided tour starts at reception, where guides fit your equipment and train you in safety (about 30 minutes), then a five-minute bush walk takes you to the first platform.

You zip from cloud station to cloud station over more than a kilometre of cable, up to 50m above Piper's River, with the longest ride stretching 400m, and learn about the forest's ecosystem and history on the way. Digital photos are included.

The operator's rules: the minimum age is 3, with children aged 3 to 8 (or under 35kg) flying tandem with an adult, and anyone under 13 needs adult supervision. The weight limit is 35kg to 130kg per person or tandem. The tour is not designed for people with spinal conditions or vertigo.
