O-Nice is one of a pair of twin sailing catamarans, built the same and run the same, so whichever one you end up on you get the same deal: private cabins with ensuites, four toilets and showers, and a relaxed pace. Kids' life jackets are on board, which tells you the sort of boat it is.
The first afternoon is a cruise to the anchorage, sunset over the islands and pre-dinner drinks while the crew cook. Day two sails to Tongue Bay, where the crew run you across to the start of the lookout walk; a short bushwalk later you're looking down on Hill Inlet, and over Tongue Point is Whitehaven Beach for a few hours of silica sand and swimming. Lunch on board, then a snorkel stop (maybe two, time permitting) with Maori wrasse and turtles among the regulars.
The last morning is a swim, snorkel or a go on the stand-up paddleboards or glass-bottom kayak while the crew put on morning tea, then the sail back to Coral Sea Marina. Linen and bath towels, three meals a day with morning and afternoon appetisers, wetsuits, stinger suits and snorkel gear are included. Snorkel and overnight spots shift with wind, weather and tide, but every trip visits Whitehaven and Hill Inlet.

Hill Inlet lookout and Whitehaven Beach
Paddleboards and glass-bottom kayak
Reef snorkel with Maori wrasse, turtles
Meet at Coral Sea Marina for a 4pm departure and set sail for the Whitsunday Islands on a small catamaran with a maximum of 10 guests. Settle into your cabin, meet your fellow travellers and the crew, then anchor for the first night with sunset views and dinner on board.
Wake up to ocean views and breakfast on board, then head for snorkelling spots where you can look for Maori wrasse, sea turtles, colourful fish and endless coral, with all snorkel gear provided. The afternoon is for stand-up paddleboarding, glass-bottom canoe tours, sea scooter rides and swimming in sheltered bays. Night two is spent anchored at a tropical spot with dinner and plenty of chat.
Walk up to the Hill Inlet lookout for the swirling silica sands that change pattern as the tides rise and fall, then spend the rest of the morning swimming and relaxing on Whitehaven Beach. The catamaran then sails back to Coral Sea Marina, arriving at 2pm.

The operator's track record
Review excerpts below are from Tripadvisor.
"They took us to bays which were amazing full of sea life and even had sharks by our boat at night. … took us to Whitehaven beach early, which was the best decision. By 10am it was absolutely packed and would’ve ruined the experience."

Tripadvisor review
"The crew was great and took us to the best spots navigating the challenging weather. … We saw heaps of wildlife including sea turtles, manta rays and George the famous Humphead of Manta Ray Bay."

Tripadvisor review
"Great two days spent on the water! … We got to see whales, sharks, sting rays, and tons of fish. All the food was good and there was plenty of it."
