Overview

The same three big sights as the Hobart to Launceston trip, in reverse, so you finish in Hobart. It's a small group (max 20) with a guide each day, with pick-up and drop-off at selected central hotels and hostels. You arrange your own accommodation, generally two nights in Launceston and two in Hobart.

Day one is Cradle Mountain from Launceston at 7.30am: a stop in Sheffield, Pencil Pine Falls, and either the Dove Lake circuit or the climb to Marion's Lookout, with around five hours in the park. Day two drives from Launceston to Hobart via the historic town of Campbell Town and Freycinet National Park, with the Wineglass Bay lookout, Honeymoon Bay and Cape Tourville (bring your bags). Day three leaves Hobart at 7.30am for the Tasman Peninsula: Waterfall Bay, Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen, the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, Port Arthur Historic Site with a harbour cruise, and Richmond.

All entry fees are included, including Port Arthur and the Unzoo. Food and drink aren't, but you can buy lunch on the way or bring your own.
