Overview

See Freycinet from the water on the Schouten Passage II, a 150-seat eco-catamaran. The journey goes around the Freycinet Peninsula to Wineglass Bay, a crescent of white sand at the edge of a turquoise sea, and the vessel stops so you can look at the sheer granite cliffs and get close to the wildlife, with commentary on landmarks, wildlife and history.

There's a Vista Lounge with floor to ceiling windows as well as outdoor viewing space. This option does not include lunch: bring your own. Drinks and light snacks, including local beverages and cool-climate wines, are available to buy on board.

"We did the Wineglass Bay tour and had a great day out on the water. The skipper … and crew were very friendly and informative, safety was paramount and we saw lots of seals, albatrosses, white-bellied sea Eagles and were thrilled to see dolphins at the bow of the boat, delicious lunch."

"Small group size for a three hour boat trip around the stunning Tasmanian Peninsula but this was unlike any boat trip I've been on - I swear this was like jet boating on the ocean!! It was excellent fun, we saw dolphins, seals and albatross really close up, as well as stunning scenery."
