Overview

Boathouse Nanuya is the affordable way to sleep in the Blue Lagoon. It sits on Nanuya Lailai Island, a few steps from the sand. The rooms are modern and block-style and don't have beach views, but the beach and the lagoon are right there, and that's where you'll be anyway.

It's adults only. The dorms are 6 beds each, one male and one female, with proper beds instead of bunks, air-con, a fan, a mini fridge and individual lockers. Private rooms are double or twin, triple or quad, or family rooms, all with their own bathroom and air-con. There's a restaurant and bar, spa treatments, Wi-Fi and phone coverage, and a selection of free activities at the resort.

The catamaran reaches Nanuya Lailai around 1.45pm and collects you at the same time the next day. Return ferry and Nadi hotel coach are included; meals are on the compulsory meal plan, paid at the resort.

Common questions about this trip

  • Is it adults only?

Yes. Boathouse Nanuya is an adults-only property.
  • Do the rooms have a view?

No. The rooms are modern and block-style without beach views, which is why it's the cheaper Blue Lagoon option. The beach is a few steps away.
  • Are meals included?

The resort is the only place to eat on the island, so it runs a compulsory meal plan, paid at the resort in Fijian dollars. It covers lunch and dinner on the day you arrive and breakfast on the day you leave. Tell us about dietary needs when you book and we'll pass them on.
  • Is there a fuel surcharge?

Yes. The ferry operator sets it monthly, currently FJ$20 per person, and it's paid locally before you board rather than included in this price. Budget for it in Fijian dollars.
  • How is the booking confirmed?

Island beds are confirmed on request with the resort, and we come back to you within 48 hours. If your date can't be confirmed, you don't pay for it.
  • What's the cancellation policy?

For Welcome and Departure Packs, there is no fee 31 or more days out, 50% from 15 to 30 days, and full charge at 14 days or less. For packages and island stays, the deposit is non-refundable 81 or more days out, the higher of 10% or the deposit applies from 46 to 80 days, and 100% applies at 45 days or less. Date changes up to 80 days out have no amendment fee. The operator can cancel vessel departures or vary itineraries for adverse conditions. Wanderlust handles the refund for you, refunds mirror the operator's terms 1:1 (including if the operator cancels) and we chase it on your behalf.

"Lovely scenic resort with fantastic facilities in the dorms. Staff were extremely and genuinely friendly and always wanted to help. Food was lovely with a buffet and hot breakfast, 2 course lunch and 3 course dinner. Couldn’t recommend more."
