Hammer used to race. Now she takes 23 backpackers through the Whitsundays at a lean, and the difference between this and a motor cruise is the difference between driving and being driven. When the sails go up, you feel it.
Over two days and two nights you hit the region's heavy hitters: Whitehaven Beach, the Hill Inlet lookout, and up to three fringing-reef snorkel spots inside the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, masks and wetsuits provided. Three crew, a skipper and two deckhand-hosts, sail the boat and cook every meal, breakfast through dessert. BYO drinks (no glass), and claim a hammock between stops.
It's 18-to-39s only, so the deck playlist writes itself. Hot showers, USB charging, and yoga mats if you want to sleep topside under the stars. The operator plants ten trees per departure, so the wake you leave is a clean one.

Meet your crew and fellow adventurers at Coral Sea Marina for a 2pm departure, and set sail for the Whitsundays on an ex-racing maxi yacht. You arrive at one of the crew's favourite beach spots for a hang, a swim and the sunset, with a platter of snacks to graze on. Back on board, head to your overnight anchorage for dinner and dessert, get to know your new mates, relax under the stars and let the calm water rock you to sleep. This itinerary is subject to change with weather and tides.
Wake up to breakfast as you cruise to Tongue Bay. Take a scenic bushwalk to Hill Inlet Lookout for views of Whitehaven Beach and the swirling sands of the inlet, then spend a relaxing three hours on the beach itself. Lunch is served back on board before you sail to two handpicked snorkel spots. Once you are snorkelled out, head to another of the crew's favourite beaches for sunset snacks before the second night at anchor.
Soak up the scenery over breakfast, then head off for one last snorkel or a guided bushwalk on one of the islands. Sail back to Airlie Beach, arriving around 11am. The fun carries on in town: join your new friends for an after-party with a reserved table and meal deals.
