Overview

Most Fiji trips are all beach. This one gives you the main island, Viti Levu, with a guide and driver in an air-conditioned vehicle. It starts with a kava ceremony in a village and a night on Robinson Crusoe Island, home of a fire dancing show, then heads down the Coral Coast.

Day two is Sigatoka market and a 45-minute rainforest trek to Biausevu, the largest waterfall on the Coral Coast, for a swim. Day three is the Navua River: 17km upriver by boat, a walk through Sabata Village, a waterfall swim, lunch on the riverbank and a lazy tube ride back down. Day four is sandboarding on the Sigatoka Sand Dunes and the Sabeto hot springs and mud pools before you're dropped back at your Nadi accommodation.

You sleep one night on Robinson Crusoe Island and two at Uprising Beach Resort in Pacific Harbour, in a dorm, a shared double or a single room. Lunch is included on days two to four and breakfast on days three and four. Robinson Crusoe runs a compulsory meal plan, paid on the island.

"The first day was a visit to the mud pools and thermal springs where we had the whole place to ourselves (worth booking a massage as well). Total relaxation and to be honest we could have stayed there all day."

"We really enjoyed the tour. Really great if you don’t have much time and you want to see lots of the cultural Fiji and get away from the western resorts."
