Overview

Green Island does something almost nowhere else can: it's a coral cay with actual rainforest growing out of the middle of it. Reef on all sides, jungle in the centre, and you've got up to seven hours to work through both.

The headline act is the one-hour boat snorkel trip to one of the island's best sites, on top of your choice for the day, snorkel gear, or a glass-bottom boat tour if you'd rather stay dry. Join the marine biologist's reef talk and island walk (spaces are limited), wander the self-guided eco trail, or claim a spot at the swimming pool reserved for guests on this trip.

Morning tea and coffee are served on the ride out, and the island has food outlets plus optional extras, parasailing, heli flights and the Wunyami Cultural Tour among them, if you want to stack the day higher.

  • What's the cancellation policy?
    Cancel before 12 noon the day before travel for no fee. Between 12 noon and 6pm the day before, a 50% fee applies. After 6pm the day before, 100% applies. Dates can be changed with no fee if the operator has availability and is told at least 24 hours before travel. If a service is cancelled for weather or unforeseen circumstances, an alternative day or a refund is given.
