Overview

This half-day trip leaves Cairns at 12pm from the operator's pontoon office on D Finger, with check-in from 11:15am. A high-speed boat takes you to an outer reef site chosen by the skipper on the day from a selection that includes Briggs, Sudbury, Moore and Thetford reefs.

You get over two hours of snorkelling time, led by a crew that includes marine biologists. The boat carries 40 passengers. A marine life presentation runs daily at the pontoon office from 10:30am, before you board.

All snorkel gear, wetsuits or stinger suits, prescription masks and afternoon snacks are included. Hotel transfers and bar drinks are not. The boat can be bumpy, so the trip is not suitable for people with back or spinal injuries or who are pregnant.
