Overview

This is a four-hour half-day trip from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef. You check in at the operator's office on Finger B at Marlin Marina 30 minutes before departure, then take a fast vessel out to the reef.

You spend about 1.5 hours on the reef with a snorkel guide before heading back to Cairns. The boat carries a maximum of 27 guests, so the group stays small.

Snorkel gear, flotation devices, snacks and a stinger suit in season are included, and the crew take GoPro photos for you. Wetsuits, drinks and prescription masks are optional extras. The trip is not suitable for non swimmers, children under 6, guests over 65, or people with heart or lung conditions, back problems or recent surgery.
