Overview

Mana Island Resort & Spa is a big resort, so finding your own spot is easy. There are three beach areas: the lagoon side for snorkelling and water sports, the quieter North Beach looking out over uninhabited islands, and Sunset Beach for the afternoon. Add two freshwater pools, poolside bars, shady palms and loungers.

The catamaran calls at other Mamanuca resorts on the way, which doubles as a sightseeing cruise, and a day trip host meets you on arrival. You get around six hours on the island. A buffet lunch is included; drinks, water sports (motorised and non-motorised), the boutique and island massage are extra.

One thing to know before you go: Mana doesn't take cash for extras, so bring a credit or debit card. The boat is back at Port Denarau around 6pm, and the return coach to most Nadi, Denarau and Wailoaloa hotels is included.

Common questions about this trip

  • Can I pay with cash on the island?

No. Mana Island Resort & Spa only takes credit or debit cards for drinks and extras.
  • Are water sports included?

No. Snorkelling and water sports equipment on Mana, motorised and non-motorised, are at extra cost. The pools and beaches are free to use.
  • What should I bring?

Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat and a card for extras.
  • Is there a fuel surcharge?

Yes. The ferry operator charges a fuel surcharge on this day trip, currently FJ$10 per adult and FJ$5 per child, paid at the check-in counter at Port Denarau in Fijian dollars.
  • How does the hotel pickup work?

The free coach runs from most Nadi, Denarau, Vuda and Wailoaloa hotels, and seats must be booked at least 24 hours ahead (we do it with your booking). Be at the pickup point 15 minutes early: drivers can't wait. Miss it and you'll need your own way to Port Denarau.
