Yasawa Pass Fiji 2026: Prices, What's Included and How It Works

What the Fiji Yasawa Pass costs for 5 to 15 days in a dorm or a private room, what's included, how booking your islands works, and how it compares with the Bula Pass.

Short answer: the Fiji Yasawa Pass costs from $633 per person for 5 days and 4 nights in a dorm, $759 for 7 days and 6 nights, and $1,363 for 15 days and 14 nights, in AUD. It covers the island catamaran, the hotel coach to Port Denarau and a bed every night at the island resorts you choose. Meals aren’t included: most resorts charge a compulsory meal plan of FJ$135 to FJ$209 a day (about A$86 to A$133), paid on the island. The Bula Pass is the same boat without the beds, from $399.

You may see “Yasawa Pass from A$442” quoted. That figure is the ferry operator’s 7-day Bula Pass price, which has no accommodation. The Yasawa Pass with beds starts at $633.

Prices are per person in AUD from our listing, checked against the ferry operator’s published rates, and are the same price you’d pay the operator. The operator’s rates change once a year, on 1 April.

What’s included

  • The island catamaran for the length of the pass: hop on and off along the route through the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands.
  • A bed every night at the island resorts you pick, in a dorm or a private room for two.
  • Coach transfers between most Nadi, Denarau and Wailoaloa hotels and Port Denarau.
  • A real person who books your islands. We book your first island before you fly, and any other stops you want locked in up front.

What’s not included

  • Meal plans. Compulsory at most island resorts and paid on arrival, since there’s nowhere else to eat. See the meal plans resort by resort.
  • The fuel surcharge. Set monthly by the ferry operator and paid before you board, currently FJ$20 (about A$13) per person.
  • Activities. Manta swims, the Sawa-i-Lau caves, diving and village visits are paid as you go.
  • Your Nadi nights. The night you land and the night before you fly aren’t part of the pass. A Smugglers Cove welcome pack covers the airport transfer and your first night.

How the Yasawa Pass works

  1. Book the pass and your first island. Pick the length and a dorm or private room. We confirm your first stop within 24 hours; if we can’t confirm your dates, you don’t pay for it.
  2. Coach to Port Denarau. On day one a coach collects you from your hotel. The catamaran leaves daily at 8.45am.
  3. Get off at your island. Resort boats meet the catamaran offshore and run you in.
  4. Move on when you’re ready. Stay up to four nights at any one resort. Book the next stop with us before you go, or at the tour desk on board at least a day ahead.
  5. Back to Denarau. Ride the catamaran back on your last day, in around 6pm, and the coach drops you at your hotel.

Which islands can you stay on?

The pass covers resorts along the ferry route, from the Mamanucas up to the Blue Lagoon at the top of the Yasawa chain. Resorts on the route include:

  • Backpacker favourites: Barefoot Kuata (reef sharks), Octopus Resort (communal dinners, fire dancing) and South Sea Island.
  • Manta country, May to October: Mantaray Island, Barefoot Manta and Mai Sunset Beach.
  • The Blue Lagoon: Blue Lagoon Beach Resort and Boathouse Nanuya.

Not every resort or room type is on the pass every night; we confirm each stop when we book it. What each resort is like, who it suits and what its meal plan costs: best Yasawa Islands resorts for backpackers.

What a week on the Yasawa Pass really costs

On a typical 7-day route (2 nights Blue Lagoon Beach, 2 Mantaray, 1 Kuata, 1 South Sea Island), in dorms:

Cost per person
7-day Yasawa Pass$759
Meal plans on this route (FJ$1,078)about A$684
Fuel surcharge (FJ$20)about A$13
Before drinks and activitiesabout A$1,455

How many days to buy

  • 5 days: two or three islands in the south of the chain. Good if Fiji is a stopover.
  • 7 days: the classic run, three or four islands, with time for the manta channel in season.
  • 10 days or more: room for the Blue Lagoon and the Sawa-i-Lau caves, plus a spare day if the weather holds a boat.

May to October is dry season and manta season, and the time most backpackers go. Beds go fastest in the Australian and New Zealand school holidays. Best time to visit Fiji.

Bundle it for a better price

The pass on its own is sold at the operator’s price. If you add parts, like a Nadi night either end or a day trip, we quote the whole trip as one package price, below what the parts cost booked separately. Tell us your dates in the Fiji trip planner and we’ll send it, usually the same day.
