Overview

SABRE is a 78-foot custom-built sailing catamaran, set up for lounging: big shaded canopies and a choice of day beds, booths and bean bags. It leaves Port Denarau at 9.45am and spends the day sailing the Mamanuca Islands, just off the coast from Nadi.

There are two stops. First, a tropical reef for swimming and snorkelling, with stairs or a slide off the front of the boat. Then a deserted sand cay. Snorkel gear is included, and you can take a paddleboard out while the boat is at anchor.

Food and drink are part of the deal: morning tea, a buffet lunch, soft drinks and bottled water all day, and local beer and house wine for two hours from lunchtime, with laid-back tunes from the crew. You're back at Port Denarau at 4.45pm, and the return hotel coach is included.
