Overview
Whitehaven Beach has two ends and most day trips show you one. Southern Lights does both: the northern end for the Hill Inlet lookout and the southern end for about two hours of lying on it. Ride, beach, snorkel, bushwalk, in that order, in a day.
The walks are guided and inside the national park, with reef and island naturalist talks from the crew along the way. The snorkel is on the inner fringing coral reef, with personalised instruction, all equipment and flotation devices supplied, and a sunsuit or wetsuit included so stingers and sunburn are handled.
Lunch is tropical-style and served on Whitehaven itself, with cake and fruit for morning and afternoon tea. Courtesy bus transfers are in; water, soft drinks, beer and cider, chocolate and prescription mask hire are extra. Seven hours, start to finish.

What's the cancellation policy?
A 5% non-refundable booking fee applies to all cancellations. Airlie Beach departures can be cancelled or amended until 12 noon the day before travel. After that the fee is 100%. If the operator cancels for unfavourable weather, guests get another travel day or a refund less the 5% fee.
