Overview

Short on time but want to see the Yasawas? This full-day cruise rides the island catamaran's daily run from Port Denarau to the top of the chain and back. The Yasawas are a line of 20 ancient volcanic islands, some with summits just short of 600 metres, ringed by beaches and clear lagoons.

The route runs past steep cliffs and odd rock formations, then through the Blue Lagoon region, where the islands flatten out into palm-fringed beaches. Along the way the boat drops off and picks up guests at the resorts, so you get a proper look at each one, which helps if you're planning a return trip.

It's a long day and you stay on board from 8.45am until you're back at Port Denarau around 6pm. A packed lunch is included, the licensed bar sells drinks and snacks, and there's an air-conditioned lounge, outside decks, Wi-Fi and a route map. Return hotel coach included.

  • Can I get off at an island?
    No. It's a sightseeing cruise: you stay on board from Port Denarau until you're back there around 6pm. To spend time on an island, look at our day trips to Kuata or Mantaray Island.

  • Is lunch included?
    Yes, a packed lunch. Drinks and snacks are sold at the licensed bar on board.

  • What should I bring?
    Sunscreen and a hat for the outside decks, something warm for the air-con lounge, and a card or cash for the bar.

  • How does the hotel pickup work?
    The free coach runs from most Nadi, Denarau, Vuda and Wailoaloa hotels, and seats must be booked at least 24 hours ahead (we do it with your booking). Be at the pickup point 15 minutes early: drivers can't wait. Miss it and you'll need your own way to Port Denarau.
