Three days on K'gari covers the icons. The fourth day is where the island starts feeling like yours, the morning you go back to the beach you liked instead of the one on the list, the afternoon you follow a track just to see. That's what this extra day buys.

Take the wheel and explore K'gari at your own pace in your own 4WD. Swim in the turquoise water of Lake McKenzie, float down Eli Creek and soak in the bubbling Champagne Pools. Wander the rainforest, see the Maheno Shipwreck and drive past the rainbow cliffs of the Coloured Sands. You also choose one more lake to visit: Birrabeen, Boomanjin, Garawongara or Allom. With a comfy base each night and your own 4WD by day, you have everything you need for an island escape.
