Byron's town beaches get the crowds. This day goes the other way, out into the hinterland and down the coast to the spots locals keep for themselves, with a local-run crew and pickup and drop-off at your Byron accommodation.
First stop is Killen Falls, a rainforest waterfall with caves, overhanging vines and turtles in the pool, where you can take a swim. Then it's the Lennox Head coastline for a walk along the headland, cliffs on one side and miles of open coast on the other. At Lake Ainsworth the water is stained dark by the tea trees around it, and a stand-up paddleboard is included, so you can get out on it or just float.
There's a lunch stop at a cafe (your own cost, or bring a packed lunch), with whales often passing off Seven Mile Beach in season. The day finishes at Broken Head Nature Reserve, on a short forest trail out to lookouts and small beaches tucked between the headlands. National park fees are covered.

"Such a fun experience to see a side of Byron you wouldn’t usually explore! The 3 stops were equally beautiful in such different ways. The tour didn’t feel rushed at all and we got a great amount of time in each place."

Tripadvisor review
"I wanted an easy way without hiring a car to see the waterfall and this trip offered that and more without the hassle. … The trip was done at a great pace. People were free to do more or less at each stop."
