Aperçu

Waves Surf School takes small groups out of Sydney to Boat Harbour Park, a private-access beach with crowd-free waves. It suits first-timers and anyone wanting to sharpen up their surfing.

The day starts with a pick-up from Bondi, Central Station or Ramsgate (or you can drive yourself). You get a land lesson on technique, a first water lesson, lunch on the beach, then a longer session in the water to put it all together. Board and wetsuit are included.

Everyone is added to a WhatsApp group before the trip with the final details. At least three people need to be booked for the trip to run. Bring a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle, beachwear and a towel.

"We had the best day with our teacher …! He was so helpful and patient with us as none of us had ever done surfing before, he cooked us an amazing bbq half way though the day. It was an intimate group which meant we got lots of help and time given to all of us. Was such a good Aussie experience would definitely recommend!!"

"We heading to a beautiful beach, which was a great way to explore the surroundings of Sydney, and … was the best surf coach, giving us great instructions and making the day so much fun. Lunch was all prepared for us, and we even had another surf session in the afternoon! everything was super well organised, and I highly recommend it!"
