A small group, a local guide and a van take you from Brisbane to Straddie. The North Gorge Walk at Point Lookout is one of Australia's best headland walks, with turtles, dolphins and manta rays in the water below and humpback whales from mid-May to October.
The day also includes Point Lookout, a picnic stop with views, 1 to 1.5 hours of free time at a beach such as sheltered, patrolled Cylinder Beach, and Amity Point, where dolphins often visit. Wallabies, kangaroos and koalas can be seen on the island.
Meals and drinks are not included; bring a lunch or buy from local cafes. Free spring water for refilling your bottle is on the van. Pick-up is from the Pullman Brisbane King George Square at 8.40am.
