Aperçu

Coconut Beach is the quiet, private-room option in the Blue Lagoon. It's on Tavewa Island, set among coconut groves on a palm-fringed beach, and the bures are built with local timber. Most days you can find a stretch of sand to yourself.

There are no dorms. Every room has its own bathroom with an open-air shower, a fan, a hammock, a safe and a mini fridge. Pick a garden villa in the grove (some have ocean views), a beachfront bungalow for two looking over the lagoon, a seaview villa, or a beachfront villa a few metres from the water. The kitchen mixes traditional Fijian dishes with modern cooking. Snorkelling, kayaking, volleyball, guided hikes and village visits are on offer, with Sawa-i-Lau caves trips and diving available.

The resort takes a minimum of two nights, so that's what this stay is, and it doesn't take children under 8. The catamaran reaches Tavewa around 1.45pm and collects you at the same time on day three. Return ferry and Nadi hotel coach are included; meals are on the compulsory meal plan, paid at the resort.

1 Day 1 · Port Denarau to Coconut Beach

Hotel coach to Port Denarau, check in at the terminal at least 30 minutes before the 8.45am catamaran, then north through the islands. The catamaran reaches Tavewa Island around 1.45pm. Late lunch, then the hammock, the lagoon or a walk along the beach.

2 Day 2 · Coconut Beach

A full day on Tavewa. Snorkel, kayak, join a guided hike or a village visit, or book a Sawa-i-Lau caves trip or a dive with the resort.

3 Day 3 · Coconut Beach to Port Denarau

Breakfast, a morning snorkel and a last swim before the boat. The southbound boat collects you around 1.45pm. The catamaran is back at Port Denarau around 6pm, and the coach drops you at your hotel.

  • Is there a dorm?
    No. Coconut Beach only has private villas and bungalows, all with their own bathroom. For a dorm in the Blue Lagoon, look at Boathouse Nanuya or Blue Lagoon Beach Resort.

  • Is there a minimum stay?
    Yes, two nights for every room type. That's the resort's own minimum, so this stay is two nights: you arrive on day one and take the boat back on day three.

  • Can I stay longer?
    Yes. Ask us before you book and we'll add nights at the resort's nightly rate for your room.

  • Can I bring children?
    Not under 8. The resort doesn't accept children younger than that.

  • Les repas sont-ils inclus ?
    The resort is the only place to eat on the island, so it runs a compulsory meal plan, paid at the resort in Fijian dollars. It covers lunch and dinner on the day you arrive and breakfast on the day you leave. Tell us about dietary needs when you book and we'll pass them on.

  • Y a-t-il un supplément carburant ?

    Island beds are confirmed on request with the resort, and we come back to you within 24 hours. If your dates can't be confirmed, you don't pay for them.

    Pour les Welcome Packs et les Departure Packs, il n'y a aucun frais à 31 jours ou plus avant le départ, 50 % de 15 à 30 jours, et la totalité est due à 14 jours ou moins. Pour les packages et les séjours sur l'île, l'acompte n'est pas remboursable à 81 jours ou plus avant le départ, le montant le plus élevé entre 10 % ou l'acompte s'applique de 46 à 80 jours, et 100 % s'applique à 45 jours ou moins. Les changements de date jusqu'à 80 jours avant le départ n'entraînent aucun frais de modification. Le prestataire peut annuler des départs en bateau ou modifier les itinéraires en cas de mauvaises conditions. Wanderlust s'occupe du remboursement pour toi, les remboursements suivent les conditions du prestataire 1:1 (y compris si le prestataire annule) et on fait les démarches à ta place.
