Convoy to the island, the route flexes with tides and weather, so every tour is different. Camp check-in, sunset, dinner.

2 Day 2 · Full island day

The classics as conditions allow: Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck, Champagne Pools, Lake Wabby.

3 Day 3 · Final swim → home

Last island morning, lunch, ferry back, Rainbow Beach early-arvo, Noosa by evening.

  • How is this different from the Tag-Along Safari?
    Comfort. Same self-drive convoy and island highlights, but you sleep in a real bed with linen inside a 4-person safari tent, with hot showers and flushing toilets at camp.

  • Do I bring my own car, and what if the 4WD gets damaged?
    No private cars, the 4WD is supplied. Each driver signs a hire agreement with the operator's 4x4 company at the briefing; it includes base-level insurance, and drivers pay for damage above that level.

  • Why no fixed itinerary?
    K'gari is a sand island, beach driving runs on tide windows. The guide sequences the same headline stops around the tides, so no two tours run identically.

  • Is there a deposit on the day?
    Yes, a 19 € bedding deposit in cash, refunded when you hand the bedding back at the end of the tour.

  • Can I stay in Noosa before or after?
    Yes. Nomads Noosa is the departure point, and the pre-tour safety briefing is there the night before. Message us and we'll add the nights to your booking.
